Terms of Use
App: Jewelers Handbook for iOS (iPhone and iPad) Developer: Pavel Yakimenko Effective date: 1 November 2026
These terms apply to your use of the Jewelers Handbook app and this website. By using the app you agree to them.
License
You may use the app for personal and professional work on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store terms. You may not copy, resell or redistribute the app or its content as your own product.
Reference content and estimates
Jewelers Handbook is a reference and a set of calculators. Gemstone data, cut and setting descriptions and clasp information are compiled from the published sources listed in the app. Calculation results (chain weight and length, number of rings, carat estimates, metal weight, ring sizes) are estimates based on models, tables and typical densities. Actual results depend on your materials, tools and technique. Always check with a test piece, scales and gauges before making a piece, and follow your supplier's data and the safety rules of your workshop.
3D illustrations are explanatory, not technical drawings. Actual size on screen depends on your device and calibration.
No warranty
The app and its content are provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, including accuracy, completeness or fitness for a particular purpose.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any loss of materials, damaged stones or pieces, lost time, or other damages arising from the use of the app or reliance on its content.
